  15. The programs beneath this button are all variations of
  16. the IRIS Flight Simulator, "Flight".

  18. Flight is an interactive simulation which puts the IRIS
  19. user in the cockpit of one of several different planes,
  20. including a Cessna 150, a Boeing 747, and three
  21. different fighter jets.

  23. Variations on Flight include replacing the cockpit
  24. panel with a heads-up display, a dogfight mode which
  25. allows competition over an Ethernet network, and a
  26. shadow mode for observing another pilot's maneuvers.

  28. The opening slides to Flight contain a brief synopsis
  29. of the keyboard and mouse commands necessary to control
  30. the plane. The manual page contains a complete
  31. functional description of Flight, as well as hints for
  32. takeoffs and landings, and a description of other
  33. features of the simulator.
